Breast skin loose after weight loss…is this permanent?

I’m 20 years old, and over a 6 year period, I lost around 50 pounds. (i was very overweight when i was younger)
I’m happy with the weight loss results, and since it took time to lose the pounds, my body overall is very fit-looking…except for my breasts.
I’ve noticed that the skin on my breasts are a little loose.
When I was my heaviest, I was a 42D, and now I’m a 36C.
I don’t understand why my breasts are the only areas that have loose skin, and it doesn’t look great.
When I lay on my back, my breasts flatten a lot, and they droop to the sides…and kind of stretches.
I hate it, and it makes me feel like I’m an old woman.
Will this be permanent? Is there any way to tighten my skin without surgery?

Unfortunately from personal experience with weight loss, this skin will not tighten on its own. You can try to firm up the pectoral muscles underneath your breasts but this will not change the loosened skin all that much. Breast tissues are unfortunately the first thing that sags(loses elasticity). Surgery is really the only option if the skin is severely stretched.
