Swimming vs Running vs Aerobics? Which one is better for weight loss?

Swimming 4km at a comfortable pace takes 1.5 hours, running 4 km takes about 30-40minutes, if running at speed of around 10km/hr, walking 4km may take over an hour. If I was going to choose between running and swimming 4km, which one would be better for overall fitness & weight loss? Swimming takes longer but running is faster, should I just run 4km to save time, since i’m going to the same distance?

Swimming is the best cardio there is. Also, you can’t compare these different exercises by the distance you’re traveling, but by how long you’re doing them. A half hour of swimming is a much better exercise than a half hour of running. Another great advantage to swimming is that it’s extremely low-impact. Running puts you at a pretty high risk of hurting your feet, getting shin splints, and joint or bone trouble with your knees.
