Weight Loss Using Treadmill

Should I use weight loss or cardio setting on machines at gym?

I am trying to lose about 30 pounds. I am going to the gym 3-4 times per week. I first do either the treadmill, bike, or elliptical for 30-40 minutes, but I don’t know if I should have it set to the “weight loss” or “cardio” program. The weight loss option is less of a work out and keep your heartrate lower, while the cardio pushes you harder, so I’m not sure what to do.

I also follow this routine with 30-45 minutes of weight training.

definately the weight loss. the cardio setting is going to build up the heart and lungs and will become to tiring to fast, which equals a shorter workout. without a long lasting workout you won’t lose as much weight.
