laxatives for weight loss?

i have post natal depression and am currently taking anti depressents, one of the things that really upsets me is my weight as i put on 4 and a half stone in my pregnancy, i was a size UK SIZE 10-12 but am now about 14-16

I was a lot more but have lost 3 stone the hard way, the problem is my anti depressants are now making me put on weight so i feel like all my hard work was for nothing!!, I have told the doctor how i feel put he said he cannot prescribe weight loss tablets as they wont go well with my anti depressants and he will give them to me once I Finnish the anti depressants (which could be 6 months to a year) i cant let me weight get out of control, i started using laxatives 2 weeks ago for constipation and noticed my weight started going down again , i know this is unhealthy but i don’t know how else i can keep my weight under control other than to stop taking my anti depressants, please could anyone give me another option?

Some antidepressants have a tendency to cause you to gain weight. Ask your doctor to prescribe one who’s side effect is less likely to do so.
You do not under any circumstance want to take laxatives to help you loose weight. You only end up harming yourself.
Remember weight gain during preg. is normal. It will take time to get it off. Eat healthy and exercise and give yourself time.
Focus on your new baby.
