Rewarding yourself during weight loss — Good or Bad?

This is a question to people who have lost weight or tried to. Im trying atm and i have lost 19lbs but still have 60lbs to go and im wondering if on your diet did you reward yourself with forbidden foods due to your deit, when you reached certain goals. Im wondering if i should rewars myself at 20lbs lost or not.

Also does it prevent or increase the likelyhood of binges n cravings??

I would not ‘reward’ myself with forbidden foods. Stay strong. You can eat healthy foods instead that taste good and may satisfy your craving for whatever it may be. The reason is that when you are on a diet, having that one ‘cheat day’ can trigger your body to then store that fat you consumed for even longer periods of time. So in other words, it does make a big difference not to consume those fatty foods, even be it once a week. I would say it increases the likely-hood of binges and cravings. After eating the ‘forbidden food’ you may feel worse afterwords which can throw you off the positive routine of your diet goals. This can cause you to want those types of foods more often. Try to eat healthy all the time and stay on the path to success. You will be happier in the long run as the results will come faster and last longer.
