Is there any treatment for PCOS?

My sisters and I all have PCOS with varying degrees of severity. We all suffer from mildly excessive hair growth. My sisters periods and fertility have been affected, but mine hasnt (I have two children). One of my sisters has hair loss problems. We are all quite severely overweight although I am not sure that entirely because of our PCOS.
We are all on weight loss programmes already, but is there a definitive treatment for the condition?

PCOS is no fun, I would know. I have 4 older sisters and we all have it. You need to see an endocrinologist. They are the best ones to help you. I use to work for one and I started to get seen by one of the doctors there. It really helped. Start by talking with your gyno about referring you to a an endo. Endo will run some test and get you started on what pills you need.
