Weight gain…not loss ?

I am a pretty healthy 26 year old woman who is 5’7” and weighs 132lbs. I am wanting to lose just a little weight (5-7lbs) Over the last week I have done cardio 50 min/day ate 5 small 300 cal mini meals/day (healthy protein, fruits,veggies, and complex carbs). Over that time i have gained 1 pound instead of loosing the 1-2 I expected. This has been frustrating… any ideas?
Thanks for your advice! I really do want to improve my overall fitness not just lose weight. I want to get in the best shape possible before I start trying to get pregnant in 6 months or so.
I will step off the scale for a month and see what happens. I will also add some resistance training and up my yoga workouts to 2 days a week from just one to help me stress less.

Unless you are using a calibrated scale under controlled conditions, you cannot be certain that you have actually gained 1 pound.

Resistance training is better for weight loss than steady-state cardio. It is possible to gain weight and look better. You may weigh more, but you may be leaner. The point of exercise is to become fitter and reduce your body fat percentage.
