Weight Loss On Atkins Induction Diet
Question for experienced Atkins dieters!?
First off I am 21 years old, 5’6″ and around 150lbs. I have been doing the Atkins diet for around 3 or more months now…I have been staying with 20 carbs this whole time! In the beginning I lost some weight, ever since then I have lost NOTHING. Could it possibly be that I actually need to increase my carb intake to kick start my weight loss again? I have read that you can participate in the induction phase for up to one year or until you lose half the weight you want to lose. I am getting really down…because I have worked very hard these past few months sticking to 20 carbs and it’s getting me no where. Help please!
P.S. This is the 2nd time I’ve done this diet. The first time I did the reg 2 wk induction and was on it for around a month or so and lost 15lbs!
What sort of things can you eat on this diet?
Glycemic Index Diet
The atkins in my opinion is a quick fast. If you want something that will last try getting something that you can do for the rest of your life. I did the atkins and it had me spinning aroung out of my mind and when I finally ate carbs I went crazy now I am eating healthier I eat carbs everyday and just watch my portions if I want choclate I have it but a small piece .. I have learned portion is the best way to go I have lost 16.5 pound in two months I can give you an idea of what I would eat for breakfast two slices of bread and a boiled egg a cup of coffee and a banana for lunch a chicken blt salad with a 100 calorie snack and a diet coke. Dinner rice green beans and a chicken leg tell me you cannot do that. Ok remember lots of water atleast 70 ounces a day will do email me for more advice.
