Weight Loss Injections Cost
Is this bull****? Smoking vs. Weight Loss?
Most Insurance Companies will cover the cost for pills/injections at the doctor to help you quit smoking…
BUT almost NO ONE covers weight loss injections.
(I personally think weight loss injections should be administered to people with genetic issues or bad thyroids…not because they cant control what they eat!)

I work out 5 days a week. Im not fat, I just feel bad for people who have to deal with it.

IN CASE YOU DIDNT READ THE PART ABOVE, I DO NOT EXCUSE OVER EATING…IM TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN INACTIVE THYROID, OR JUST PLAIN GENETICS.
I don’t see why it couldn’t be covered. I’ve never heard of weight loss injections before, but my health insurance has a “wellness” policy that covers visits to a nutritionist and offers discounts on weight loss programs and gym memberships. They also offer ‘bonuses’ as you hit your weight loss goals. For all I know, they might cover the injections as well.
That was the long answer. Short answer? No, it’s not fair that smoking cessation products are covered when weight loss products are not. I don’t think it’s very smart of the insurance companies, either, since the healthier the clients are the less the insurance company will have to pay out in benefit coverage.
