Does anyone know what this weight loss technique is called?

There is a weight loss program. The graph shows a line. It dips down for a short period and comes back up. Does anyone know what this weight loss technique is called? And does anyone know a good program with this?

This is called “surcompensation” in french… (I studied this in french)

Essentially, it means overcompensation. It’s not attributed to any specific plan. All it means is that to have an effective exercise program, you should work until you’re tired, but then give yourself enough time to recuperate. With the proper amount of recuperation, you will also improve. The next time you exercice, you will be less tired, you’ll recuperate again, and then you will improve some more.

This is how personal trainers plan regiments for their clients. It’s all a matter of finding the right exercises that will work the client, then prescribe enough time to rest, but not too much so that they lose the benifits. And then you make them do it again.
