Weight Loss Forever
When you start exercising to lose weight, why does it always feel as though it’s taking forever for fat loss?
I have been on an exercise regime for the past 2 weeks, but it feels as though it’s taking forever to see improvement. I am overweight ( 220lbs mix of muscle and fat, but mostly fat ) and I just feel as though losing fat is so difficult, even though I have probably only lost 2lbs over 2 weeks. It just feels like it’s going really slow, and I am desperate to get in shape for the summer, and my plan is to lose a stone of fat in 2 – 3 months ( hopefully ). When I look in the mirror, I can notice a tiny bit of improvement, but I still have a lot of unwanted flab on my body.
You don’t make any mention of what you are eating.
The basic rule is this: in order to lose weight you must expend more energy than you take in.
So the exercise is great and will help muscle tone and flexibility, but if you are still eating the wrong things – ie that are high in fat or calories, then you might only notice a small improvement on the scales.
