specific weight loss foods and exercises?
ok, i am 19 years old and just barely on the normal side, or just barely overweight on the bmi scale, a few websites told me different. im not overly obsessed with my figure like some women, and i have a boyfriend who loves me the way i am, but supports me no matter what. I am 164 pounds, 5’8, and ill tell ya why. I love going to restaurants, like my mother, and i do love food. i have a smaller waist with larger hips, larger ta-tas and larger legs. i would like a whole body workout plan so everything is proportional. my friend recently tried the special k diet plan with swimming and it works well for her. any advice? and yes, i know i will have to cut back on dining out =*( thats alright. i want to lose this weight so i can be happier with my self, and look average in a swimsuit =P

I am not a proponent of “spot treatment” because it is unrealistic and ineffective. If your goal is to slim down a tad, your best bet is to start off with some serious cardio. Running, biking, hell even walking if that’s the only easy option, are good starting points. Cardio is most effective at burning calories because you use larger muscles (which burn more calories) and the exercise can be sustained for longer periods of time, (again burning more calories). Cutting down on calories a touch will only speed up weight loss, but I also don’t agree with getting too carried away with that. Personally, I enjoy all kinds of food and would never suggest that you deprive yourself of what you like. Anything as long as its in moderation is doable (as long as you’re exercising consistently of course!). I’m sure you don’t look bad at all, but a little exercise will only make you feel better in addition to being healthier.
