50 lbs weight loss->excess skin on stomach, does it go away over time?

I lost about 50 pounds of fat in the past 2 years, I’m down to about 1 or 2% body fat. I know you can’t lose fat cells, they just shrink. I have a lot of excess skin around my stomach area from when I was heavier that doesn’t seem to get tighter even though my abs are very muscular. Is it going to tighten up over time (longer than a few years)? I’m 20, if it matters.
