Weight Loss Diet Soda

What’s healthier ( for weight loss) Diet coke or fresh ice tea, with 1-2 packs of splenda ( per glass)?
I am starting to eat healthy since I am overweight ( 5’11 179 pounds) I am going to cut my diet soda, is replacing it with fresh brewed ice tea with 1-2 splenda packs better?
Or should I just stick with water =/
Water is much better. Stevia is a healthy low calorie sweetener for iced tea.
Diet coke with aspartame/Equal, in my opinion is a toxin & should be avoided. One of the “admitted” side effects is weight gain.
Splenda/sucralose is an artificial & chemically created sweetener. If you don’t like stevia, you might consider blending equal parts of liquid sucralose, liquid sachharin with liquid stevia. Blending sweeteners creates a synergy that makes a smaller portion of the blend much sweeter than any of equal amounts of a component. This would also greatly lower your ingestion. Stevia & sachharin are considered safe. Using the liquid versions eliminates the added dextrose (sugar) bulking agent.
I would highly suggest kombucha tea. It uses real sugar but the yeasts and bacteria transform the sugar and tea into beneficial acids (acetic and gluconic and glucoronic precursors). I have been drinking it and brewing it this past year – it’s just sugar sweetened tea that is converted with a “SCOBY” so it only costs a few cents to make. I started it for the health benefits (can’t really attest to any at this point) but continue it for the “soda pop” like taste and naturally occurring carbonation. I am highly sensitive to sugar (I get bacterial infections) and caffeine but I can drink a couple of liters of this a day with no problems. (I do brew it to the sugar free stage to make sure though) It’s all rather weird and scary but you might want to stop by a health food store and sample GT’s Kombucha tea (do not try Carpe Diem brand, it is nasty). It’s not cheap at $4 bottle but you can brew it cheap yourself if you like it.
