Weight Loss Breakfast Smoothie

can this much weight loss be for real??

I started following Jason Vales juicing diet thing on monday, where i make up a fresh fruit smoothie myself every morning and have this for breakfast and lunch, the smoothie consists of fresh fruits and veggies like cucumber, spinach, avocado etc. I then eat a well balanced dinner at around 5pm, usually grilled chicken and a small amount of brown rice and veggies, or a whole grain turkey sandwich. on sunday morning, i weighed 139.6 pounds. this morning, i weighed 133.6. could 6 pounds be for real??? i have been slowly losing weight since august and had lost 10-12 pounds before this. i am 5’9 and female. what do you think?

You can’t have lost 6 pounds of fat – it’s physically impossible, since you would have had to have a deficit of 3600 calories per day.

However, you’re probably losing a bit of muscle and a lot of water weight from it. That’s how most calorie-restriction diets start off – with rapid weight loss from water weight. Your weight loss will slow down, but keep at it – you’ll be losing more fat in the next couple of weeks! Good luck.
