Weight Loss After Hysterectomy Exercise
Am 3 lbs underweight for the last 3 years.. can’t gain anything! Can you drink too much soy?
My dr says I should weigh 118 at least and I weigh 115. I can’t gain any weight. I had a hysterectomy and heard that soy is good to regulate hormones. I drink about 2 gallons a week. I also switched to stevia sweetener. I eat almost anything I want, including burger king, cookies, bacon and eggs… but cannot gain any weight. I started losing after a car accident and I was 205 lbs! Around that time, I also switched to soy. I do walk but that is about all I can do for exercise. I lost 90 lbs in about a year. The dr said that was unhealthy weight loss, but he says I am healthy except for being under weight. My blood pressure has been as low as 70/45 and never gets above 90/55. I asked about that, and he said it was better than high blood pressure… Just wondering if anyone had any info! Thanks!
Being 3 lbs below your supposedly minimum healthy weight could probably be dismissed as insignificant.
As you eat plenty you probably don’t have a real problem and perhaps 115 lbs is your normal weight.
If you feel OK you are probably OK.
If you suffer from dizziness, faintness and actual fainting spells that could mean low BP as your BP is below 90/60 and that often (but not necessarily) means low BP.
Your soy consumption is not necessarily a problem as long as you are aware that soy depletes your zinc levels (up to about 50%) and to a lesser extent your iron levels (probably up to about 25%) and your calcium and magnesium levels to an even smaller extent. This is due to the high content of phytic acid and phytates in soy.
