How much weight did you lose right after giving birth?

I hear lots of people saying they went into the hospital weighing so much and then came out weighing 20lbs less or less then they weighed before even getting pregnant.. has this happened to you? I am almost 34 weeks pregnant and I’ve only gained 22lbs so far which I think is pretty good.. I hope to only gain another 8lbs or less until the baby is born so I won’t have to much to lose! What are your experiences with weight loss after having your baby, did you pop out your baby and instantly lose lots of weight (baby, water, fluids etc) or did you find you stayed the same weight etc… Thanks:)

I lost 25 immediately after delivery with both pregnancies and had only gained 15 with each. I was rather sick through my pregnancies so I guess that had a lot to do with it. But like someone else said, it’s not a proportionate loss. It takes the abdominal area some time to get back to normal.
