Will jogging one mile a day help the weight loss process?
I recently lost 25 lbs. (In 3-4mo’s) by watching what I ate, walking at a fast pace on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then 20 on the stationary cycle, and lifting weights. I have hit my plateau and am still at an unhealthy weight (5’6 and 188 lbs). I decided to mix my routine up a bit and do the bike for 20 min. and then jog a mile, instead of walking. Will this help me break my plateau?
Jogging makes the heart stronger. It increases the capacity of the blood circulation and of the respiratory system.
It speeds up the digestive system and helps you get rid of digestive trouble.
It counteracts depression.
It increases the capacity to work and lead an active life.Jogging makes you burn fat and thereby helps against over-weight.
If you suffer from poor appetite, jogging will improve your appetite.
Jogging will strengthens the muscles of your legs, hips and back. However you will not get very big muscles from jogging.
Jogging makes you sleep better
