What is the best food for my very fat cat?

I adopted a kitty last year ( my neighbors moved and left her behind!!) She was very very fat ( 23 pounds! ) and they fed her human food all the time.

I took her to the vet and put her on weight loss food- and I play with her several times a day..

now she weighs 20 pounds.

I feed her Iams weight loss food and purina one wight loss ( I live in a slightly remote area so I use what I can. )

but, when I posted another question about my dog, someone told me I was feeding her the wrong food.

Now I worry I may be doing the same for the cat.

what should I feed my big old baby?

The problem with the food you are feeding (Iam dry kibble) is that it’s filled with very low quality ingredients and lots of carbs. All dry kibble has an overabundance of carbs which cats can not utilize which leads to obesity. You need to feed your kitty a high quality wet food diet to help her slim down. No more dry kibble.
