Tips for fitness – am overweight, but have bad pain in ankles, heels and hip, and lower back!!?
Hiya – need some tips for weight loss – but fractured a hip four months ago (had operation with a plate, screws and pin put in), plus have plantar faciitis (very painful heels), tendonitis in ankles and pain in lower back – all probably weight related, but makes exercise very difficult – anyone else suffered from pain when simply walking and what can I do to exercise and lose weight? Does anyone know any motivational websites I could look at for weight loss (not ones that are selling stuff) – answers would be sooo appreciated – thanks!!
You could start on an exercise bike, an upright or reclined one which shouldn’t hurt anything.
You could swim, which shouldn’t hurt anything.
You can start on a cross trainer, which should also be good.
For weight to start dropping, you need to be getting a good hour about 5 days a week at least.
Build up to this slowly – start with ten minutes a day for the first day and go from there.
Watch your diet also, if you’re relatively inactive, you need fewer calories.
