Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Menu

Simple menu – Will i lose weight?

Ok, ive already lost 1 stone eating mainly rice, so it works for me, but ive revised my menu and want some advice, is this healthy and will it promote weight loss coupled with exercise?

Im 26, and 13 stone.

Breakfast – Porridge with water and raisins, plus a tiny bit of golden syrup and a drizzle of milk on top of the porridge.

Dinner (latest 3pm) – Brown rice with mixed vegetables (veggies include peas, swede, carrots and potato) – vegetables come in a tin.

Sometimes throw in some beans and sardines, but only twice a week.

I take vitamin supplements (vit C, B Complex and Omega 3,6) and drink only water.

Plus fruit is also consumed, apples and kiwi’s.

It’s important to think of setting goals and getting to where you are healthy and not to focus on a number.

Think of it like this:
If you are filling a swimming pool with a leak or trying to heat your house, if the in flow is greater than the outflow there will be a gain.

It works for you body. You take in food (calorie is a measure of energy) and you exercise (burn or use up calories to do work/exercise). If you eat a lot you need to move your body a lot.

A lean healthy body with a lot of muscle will burn more calories that a body with a high BMI (body mass index).

Some foods have more calories per ounce (junk food).
