Is the HCG diet good for me. Have lost 90lbs?

I have lost 90lbs in a year and a half with weight watchers and am currently 167. I was wanting to try the hcg diet to lose that last 27lbs. My goal is to be 140 and my weight loss has slowed down with weight watchers which I knew was going to happen because I am smaller now, but I really want to hit my goal and was wanting to see of you thought this would be a good way to lose this last little bit. I am only 5’2. So I am still overweight on the doctors scales actually still obese on there charts . any advice thanks.

First of all, ignore the “obese”charts and worry about fat percentage. They are very inaccurate for many people.

Second, losing 90 pounds in a year is a remarkable achievement. However, one thing you need to be aware of is that your body will be trying to increase your weight— which is a natural reaction after a weight loss.

There is nothing you can do to keep your body from losing weight as the same pace as it has over the past year. Nothing. What I would do if I were you is to make sure that you are only losing 1 pound a week right now and no more. Weight Watchers is a far better program than anything that relies on some “drops or supplements”.

At the end of the year, try to get down to 150 pounds. Then, you should be reducing your weight at a far lower percent, say 1/2 pound a week. But remember, you do not want to lose weight right now — you want to lose fat. Your body is trying to naturally gain muscle right now, since you have lost so much of it over the past year (at least 20 pounds of your weight loss of 90 pounds was healthy tissue).
