How realistic is my weight loss goal?

Hi there.
I am currently around 100-105kgs after having 2 kids. I am aiming to lose 30kgs by christmas.
I am eating really healthy: plain oatmeal for breakfast with 2 pieces of fruit. Some sort of salad for lunch and a stir fry for dinner.
I have also started exercise again and am doing 30-45 minutes of step a day.

Is 30kgs in 8months a realistic goal?

Any ideas or suggestions would be great thanks =)

1 lb a week is realistic and healthy. So about 0.5 kilograms per week, or 16 kilograms over 8 months.

You should try to determine the calorie intake that would keep you at your current weight and then create a 500 calorie a day deficit. The 500 calorie a day deficit can be either from a decreased calorie intake(i.e. eat less) or increased calorie burn (i.e. exercise) or a combination of both.

Over the course of a week you’ll burn 3,500 calories more than you eat which equates to about 1 pound weight loss (0.5 kilogram) a week.

It is certainly possible to loose more weight over those 8 months, but drastic weight loss is rarely sustained over time and is not healthy.
