Good Weight Loss Foods For Men

Questions about jogging for experienced runners?
I am a fifty-one year old man with a good pair of running shoes. I am also 80 pounds overweight. I would like your suggestions on how many times to do it in a week and how long should I jog.
I can walk for miles without stopping, so I am not completely out of shape. I want to run for weight loss primarily. Should I eat before or after a run and what foods do you suggest.

1. Start out easy so your body can get used to it, maybe 2-3 times a week for a good solid 30 minutes (this can include both running and walking, depending on your level). Then in a few weeks, I suggest 4-5 days to get the most of it.
Cardio for a longer period of time is great for losing weight.
JOG at a steady pace (even if you feel like you can sprint at the beginning) and go for as long as you can. Then when you feel like you must walk for a bit, push yourself for another 30 seconds, then walk. That way you’re slowly increasing endurance and everything.
2. Eat a very light snack about a hour or so before running if you’re hungry (i.e. a banana, one slice of bread with peanut butter)
If you’re not, just make sure your well hydrated (but don’t chug water), and you’re good to go. I normally don’t eat anything right before a run so it doesn’t feel like I’m carrying all that weight in my stomach, and all the blood won’t go into digesting instead.
Afterwards, you can have a bigger meal. Something healthy and meets all the food groups would be best, maybe some pasta with salad (and only a bit of dressing).
ps. make sure you have a nice warm up to get your blood flowing and muscles warm, and then a cool down (slow jog/walk) and stretch so you don’t cramp up afterwards and minimize soreness.
