Free Weight Loss Smoothies
How can a blender work with ice cubes?
I tried making a blueberry smoothie the other morning:
- 1 1/4 cup(10oz) of raw blueberries(2g of protein, 100 calories)
- 1 cup(8oz) of fat-free milk(8g of protein, 90 calories)
- 1 greek yogurt container(15g of protein, 80 calories)
- a couple of ice cubes(for the crunchy smoothie sensation)
The problem I had was when my blender acted crazy when I dropped in the ice cubes. My blender made sounds like it was going to break. Is there a special blender I should use for smoothies, or are all blenders created equally?
Also, assuming I drink a smoothie every morning(blueberries, carrots, banana, etc) on a daily basis, and I do exercise as well, will it work out for me in a more faster pace in weight loss?
As far as I know there are actual smoothie blender you can get that are larger and stronger – meaning you can put things like ice cubes it.
Another thing is that I know from my smoothie maker that ice cubes make the mixture more ‘liquidy’ and runny and adding juice such as orange juice makes it thicker – that is according to my little booklet that came with the model I got.
About weight loss: The key to good weight loss is to exercise and burn more calories than you take in. Basically you can eat what you like as long as you are willing to exercise harder to burn those additional calories. Just don’t go over the guidline daily amount for adults.
