To Zumba or not to Zumba..?
I work out four to five times a week. The days vary because I don’t work scheduled days during the week.
My workout generally lasts around an hour and 10 minutes from beginning to end (not counting warm up and stretches) and I use the weight loss preset program on the elliptical (20 minutes) and cardio (20min+5min cool down) then fat burn(20min+5min cool down) on the stationary bike. I like the low impact as I’ve had a log of ankle sprains and breaks.
On Tuesdays and Fridays my gym offers a free one hour zumba fitness class to members. I’ve been to one before and found it to be a lot of fun and I would like to go occasionally just to mix stuff up and keep myself interested. I got to thinking I could take one of my work out days and do zumba instead of the usual routine I’ve made for myself, but I worry that that would slow down my weight loss goals.
Does anybody know if that would?
I say give it a shot! A good workout has alot of diversity in it! If you see that your fitness needs are not being met you can always go back. Yoga is also very beneficial!
