Lemon juice and warm liquids supposedly speed up your metabolism; the lemon juice because it’s acidic, so it aides your stomach acid in digestion, and warm water because it transfers heat to the rest of your body, so that you body systems can move faster without taking up any extra energy. So theoretically, yes, this helps with weight loss. I’m not so sure about the honey – it’s sweet and has extra calories, just like sugar or molasses. But it probably makes the whole thing taste better. (I’ve tried it before; it’s not that appetizing.)
