Daily Weight Loss Calorie Calculator
Are daily caloric needs calculators actually accurate?
I googled a few daily caloric needs calculators, and they say that I need about 2000-2400 calories for maintaining my weight, 1600 to lose fat, and 1200 for extreme fat loss. Is this actually accurate? I used an app on my phone to find the same thing, and it said that I only burn like 1500-1600 calories a day. I’m 16, 5’4, 136 pounds and I run about a mile 5 times a week, if that’s relevant. Any help would be appreciated.
I’m trying to lose some weight, so I’ve been taking in around 1200-1300 calories, but I never really paid attention to how many I took in before.
They are generally accurate, but I wouldn’t fully depend on them.
Running 5 miles a week is pretty good, just add those calories you burned by doing that to your ‘daily calories burned’ then that would mean you lost ____ calories in a week.
Keep in mind, 3500 calories is one pound.
