ok, person number one
she adopts the ‘starvation diet’ where she basically really limits her calorific intake and ‘stops food for a little while’.
how effective is this, long term AND short term.
how quickly will her weight loss be and what other people of the media, (celebrities etc.) have taken this diet.

person number two, similar case to person number one
adopts starvation diet, but also excercises.
she excercises 5 days a week first thing in the morning.
again, how effective is this, long AND short term
how quick is her weight loss
will she see result more quickly than if she didnt excercise

I get it you are trying to work out which one is the worst case? The starvation with the exercise runs the risk of dying fastest. Heart attack, stroke, kidney or liver failure it would probably depend on weather, their starting weight and physical condition prior to starting something so stupid.

They might be lucky and get away with it short term, lose 5, 10 maybe even 15 lb of mainly water weight and then put it back on within a few weeks. The luckiest would lose some weight mainly muscle and lean, the body would go into starvation mode and start shutting down normal body functions and refuse to lose further weight. Due to the loss of muscle, body metabolism will be retarded and they will probably regain much more weight than they previously lost.

Celebrities that diet? Hmmm lets look at Oprah, up, down, up, down, every week she finds the next great thing that doesn’t work. All this with her own nutritionist, personal trainer, chef and everything else you need to fail miserably each time she tries.

The only secret to losing weight is to eat a well balanced healthy diet and get some exercise. Averaging 1 lb a week is great and you will have learned what it takes to keep you at that weight forever.
