Best Weight Loss For Menopause
losing weight out of nowhere.. bad?
Since I was in High School I have always weighed between 120-130lbs. This year I’ve been really depressed, and probably not taking the best care of myself. But I’m done to 109lbs and 5ft 4, so is that bad? I’m in college and eat alot of junk food, but if anything I would think that would make me gain weight. I’m also getting really cold & really hot all the time, like menopause or something. I’m on an anti-depressant that says it can cause weight loss, but is there such a thing as too much? Should I try to put the weight back on?
Suggestions please.
I don’t think it could be a thyroid problem, cause i was in the hospital recently and i they checked for that.
Both depression, and the medications used to combat it, can cause weight loss. Since your medication says it can cause weight loss, you should consult with your doctor if you’re concerned.
In terms of combatting depression and your weight loss, I would like to suggest that you include exercise in your program. Don’t stop taking the drugs, just make sure there’s some activity in your day. There are many studies showing a link between exercise and improved mental outlook. Clinically depressed patients who exercise reduce the symptoms of their depression. Exercise will also keep your body healthier whatever your weight, and it might help regulate your body temperature. Along with eating healthier, it’s a good way to take better care of yourself.
Take a walk, ride your bike, jump on the treadmill, take a dance class. Get your body moving and you’ll feel better and build some muscles!
