Best Weight Loss Dvd Workout

belly dancing for weight loss?

I have been looking for a great workout for a while (have tried many diets and simple walking doesn’t help me much) but this past week I had to have knee surgery (non-weight related) and I have really realized how badly I need to workout and get healthy again once I am capable of getting around normally. I was thinking about trying some belly dancing DVDs but I’m not sure if thats the best to try and which DVDs. I have always been interested in learning and it looks like a lot of fun, which I need.
Is there any DVD(s) that is best for me to try (belly dancing or not)?

I think it sounds like a good idea–I’ve heard it can be very empowering, and it seems SO much more fun than boring aerobics! Try to look for programs that call themselves “Egyptian Style” rather than “American Style”, as Egyptian is much more authentic, much much lower risk of it being something really suggestive that just calls itself “belly dancing”
